There has to be a story attached... SPILL IT! LOL
I'd love to have more detailed photos. Black anodized. Nice. I think I can source all of that refinishing stuff, I always wondered what they looked like new. Thanks for posting (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) (can I come by and touch your... calipers?) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol3.gif) |

Sorry Eric, they were out the door the next day. I just got to touch them and take pics. This was all I got. I do have some higher res versions if you want.
Those monster fronts (two on the left) were just .95 lb more than the stock front 914-4 caliper. These are for a customer doing a very nice 3.6 conversion car, out east. The desire is to build a most awesome 6 conversion with as many NEW factory parts as possible. Making it as close to a new 914-6 as they can. The customer has a 930, and wanted to put the same brakes on the conversion car. |

Both front and rear are four pieces. The two center sections, and then the inner and outer finned sections with the pistons are bolted to the upper and lower centers.

QUOTE Both front and rear are four pieces. The two center sections, and then the inner and outer finned sections with the pistons are bolted to the upper and lower centers. That's the beauty of those later calipers. I often marveled, over the years, how they got better at economies of scale. Every part in there can be turned around and used left or right. |

Do you think these will stop a 3.6 conversion ok??? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) They will work, but you won't like them ... BTDT ... Go with Boxster Calipers front/rear instead. They need adapters to work, but they're much better than the 930s ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stirthepot.gif) Andy |

I was planning to go with 356 drum brakes...they are aluminum. Except, i was serious. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) He's going to mount the 930s and he's going to hate them. Mark my words, you heard it here first. Like i said, BTDT ( <- stands for "Been There, Done That"), the 930s suck. You'll never be able to get them "feel" right.
