Mount them anywhere you like.

FYI- If your 914 suddenly stops running (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) check to see if that green band thats holding the relay broke and the relay is loose. It controls the fuel pump. If the green band is actually a locking wire tie, no problem. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Same photo shows the rough position. A clamp goes around the canister and mounts to the battery hold down bolt.

I didn't have the original clamp so I bought a large gear clamp (5 to 6 inch diameter) and made a clamp that fits under the battery bolt.
