Bolts right up. Gotta replace the flywheel and clutch with a (tranny) year appropriate unit, and put a pilot bearing in the bore in the end of the crankshaft. If it's a reduction gear style trans, there are custom flywheels available.

The transaxle is a 76 Type 2 Bus! What year do you think is best?

76-79 091 bus tranny is nice, 228mm flywheel and you must use the proper year bus starter or it won't engage the teeth right. The 914 2.0l heads run hot in a bus and can crack..the extra hp is nice but watch out for running hot CHT's.

Are you attempting to use a bus tranny in a 914, or a 914 motor in a bus?
