There will be the traditional meet and greet BBQ Friday afternoon at the James M. Robb Colorado River State Park in Fruita, Colorado.

Saturday morning will give way to a beautiful drive up over the Colorado National Monument, and down the twisty Highway 141 to Gateway, Colorado for lunch and a visit to the Gateway Auto Museum! We will conduct a Show and Shine while we are in Gateway.
Saturday afternoon, we will drive back to Fruita. Dinner will be on your own. If you like, you are more than welcome to bring your food and drink, as well as lawn chairs and hang out at the campsite! We will have our official bench lawn chair racing session there at the campsite.

Hotel Information:
Thanks to the Wine Festival and Triathlon (busy time of year) we (Val) were able to only set aside a total of 19 rooms. Pretty much the whole valley is booked! It will be at the LaQuinta, which is right next door to the campground (perfect). The Manager at LaQuinta will hold 19 rooms for us until August 18th. If they are not reserved by then, he will open them up so others can reserve them. We did get a discount rate, it is still a bit on the pricey side though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) .

(Reserve Now)

LaQuinta Inn
570 Raptor Rd,
Fruita, CO 81521
970-858-8850

Rates: Std Double: $119 (regularly $169)
Any Suite (Jacuzzi etc): $129 (regularly $199)
Be sure to mention "Red Rocks Classic", "ClubNARP" or "914World" when calling.

(Reserve Now)

If tent camping and money saving is your thing, you can go online and reserve a tent space at the James M. Robb Colorado River State Park for $14 a night! Also Val and I have reserved the group camping circle (A-F) that is right next to the tent camping. So if you do need a tent spot or a spot for an RV or Trailer, we have already paid. This area will ensure a spot to have the Meet and Greet BBQ as well as a place to hang out (quiet hours begin at 10pm).

There will also be "unofficial activities" if anyone decides to show up early, just let us know you are going to be early. We will quite possibly have a quick drive over the Grand Mesa! The Grand Mesa offers the most Alaska-like terrain I have ever seen outside of Alaska!

Shirt Order Has Been Placed as of August 1st. Tee Shirt Order Thread Here!

This promises to be a good time, and an excellent chance to check out Colorado's scenery. This late in September, it should be cooling down a bit. The leaves should also be changing, making for some spectacular views!

Registration Information!

I was hoping to hold off a little bit for the registration thread, but a good portion of our reservations will have to be paid by August 1st.

Registration for RRC 2009 is $45.00 per person

This registration fee will cover:
Friday's Meet and Greet BBQ
Saturday's Luncheon and Dining Area rental
Saturday's visit to the Gateway Auto Museum
*Any left over registration fees will be put towards Saturday night's dinner

This Registration does not cover:
The State Park (for BBQ) daily $6.00 entrance fee
The group camping area for BBQ (Val and I are getting that tab)
The Federal Park (one time for drive) $7.00 entrance fee
Dinner for Saturday Night (*pay on your own, we will pick an area Restaraunt)
Hotel Fees or gas fees....drawing the line there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

If you liked riding the Bookcliffs on the bike, you will definetly love cruising the Monument in that new 914 of yours!

Let's see .... pulled the engine yesterday, took it apart, cleaned it, put it back together, welded in RJ mount, reinstalled engine, hooked up most everything, decided I was tired and quit for the night .... 7 am to 8 pm is long enough.

Need to adjust clutch, hook up fuel, hook up electrical, add 10 quarts of oil, fire 'er up and check for leaks.

Does Grand Junction still glow day and night?

Stopped glowing a few years ago. All the Uranium mines are closed. No wonder you didn't call me! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dumbass.gif) I still have a question for you when you get a chance.
