For my /4 2.0, I don't have to split the case correct?
Should I just be able to remove each stud as I replace them with the new ones? the new ARP crankcase and head studs are a work of art (dare I say studly, LOL) Mike |

I hate to say this, BUT doesn't the case through bolts have those little plastic vibration damper ribbed looking thingy’s snapped over the studs, that sit in the middle of the case along the main bearing saddles.
Won't these bust apart? I can't even get them off in one piece with the engine apart. Doesn't the case through holes double as oil passages? |

I didnt read all of it. I saw ARP and *THOUGHT* he bought the head studs and was asking about them.
Split the case to install the thru bolts. B |

I didnt tell him to buy the case thru bolts.. dont run them.
Your not running some monster stroker engine here where you should have dowel pinned the mains. We are worried about boost seeping out from the heads.. B |

I am not going to split the case.......
So I guess these studs will be used elsewhere, not on this motor... |
