I'm debugging several small problems on my new car. If I remove the ignition key quickly, the tumbler comes out with the key. The outer ring stays in the steering column.
It's a 71 and has a different ignition/key module than any of my later cars. It looks like this one (not mine exactly, stock photo): What is supposed to hold the tumbler in? -Steve Attached image(s)
