Ya-roon,

grasshopper, not only do you have to see the weld, you have to hear the weld!!!!

In tight spaces you have to imagine where you want the metal to be deposited.

that why its always recommended to get oneself into a comfortable position, and do a dry run before striking an arc..

You can also see a little overpenetration on the outside. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool_shades.gif)

Yeah huh? What the hell were you thinking?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

To me that simply proved that it "did" penetrate. A lot of welding jobs basically lay a bead of junk on top and don't get proper penetration. That will last the life of the car. Good welding is an art. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

Jeroen,

Don't you mean that "stack of guilders" look? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Sorry, don't know the names of individual Dutch coins. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
