the 70 has a 09 distributor. Should I replace it? and what with? a 05? What years fit? Crane, in the 09 body? (Pertronix is out, because of the burnout factor/time to replace it when the magic smoke comes out)

One off line suggestion I got was COMPUFIRE, thoughts?
Another was a Mallory distributor? Unilite with or without vac advance? |

The stock djet one works fine with the vacuum advance hose hooked up too.

The stock electronic transistor Vanagon dizzy (off a 2 liter aircooled (=type 4) '79-81 T25 Vanagon) works best for the price that a used one costs!
You have then a better spark (40kV), Hall effect electronic pick-up and even vacuum advance to boot! It doesn't get much better than that for that budget (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Greetings, Walter |
