Kerry Hunter Headers (and others) have a common problem. The little ears that go over the studs bend and make it harder to mount. They also crack the pipe sometimes when you tighten the nuts a little more to get rid of that pesky exhaust leak, making things worse.

I can cut those things off and replace them with the machined blocks I use on my stub pipes. You can apply more torque, safely. They line up better with the studs so there is less chance of leaks when torqued carefully.

The problem I found the most.. people with bent studs. I dont think I have ever ripped any off the stub tube or broken one. Another reason why I use the European racing header (they use a solid piece for the stub tubes also..instead of a bent tab)
