Good idea! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

Things to do to the gold car before heading north:

- Install front brake lines and bleed brakes.
- Install turbo tie rod boots.
- Clean the transmission and replace the gear oil.
- Install 2.0 engine and transmission.
- Register the car. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
- Reseal the gas tank and install.

Not much really, should be pretty easy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif)

Marathon Blue is still sitting on the rotisserie waiting for me to have time/space to work on it. I need a Rick O. to come to CA and help me finish up all these cars. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

So I'm just gonna throw this engine into a spare chassis I got from Trekkor. It's a very original and very straight 1971 originally painted Gold Metallic, but resprayed some stupid yellow. This will be my R&D car. I picked up a 2.4 six and am thinking of building a 914/6 replica (I meant replica, not conversion).

Realistically, I'm just sidetracking myself because it's always more fun to start a new project than it is to trudge along with the old project. But I knew the blue car would never have been done for WCR.

Do you want to buy the limo? Mark will likely not have time to work on it this decade... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

True, true! My Suby-powered 914 project is on the back burner 'cause of life-n-other excuses. My '97 BMW 328i was stolen/totaled/recovered in February. I bought it back (only had 110k miles and was my step-Pa's before he died) from the insurance company for $413, put the auto trans in a $1500 '98 BMW 528i (niiiice ride!) a week later, and plan to put the M52 6-cylinder in my '96 BMW 318ti in the coming weeks. To make the 318ti more interesting, I just spent $2k on all new bushings, Koni Sports, H&R Sport springs, control arms, rebuilt/upgraded brakes, camber kits, etc. I'm also putting in a ZF 5-speed trans and limited slip diff. Then I can get back to my 'teener! Unfortunately, it looks like I'll miss WCR 2013 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

NO! When the stars align we need to have a winter build party and move this project closer.
