It's been awhile but I've been a little busy the past few months. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) And now that I'm past my unending obsession it's time to return to another obsession. Hanging and driving w/ my SoCal 914 Bros. That being said, here's the plan. Meet and eat at my place then an afternoon run up to Idylwilde then on your merry way. It should be cooler up there if'n it's a hot one plus it's close to me if my car breaks down. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)
The Itinerary: 1100-1200 hr's - Meet @ 35450 Daffodil Circle, Winchester, 92596 1200 - 1230 hr's eat 1245hr's - Depart for Idyllwilde run. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) The Lunch: BBQ Chicken Quarters Baked (not nuked) Potato's (Too late in the year for Corn on the Cobb) Banana Pudding Iced tea ***NOTE*** RSVP only, I need the head count. If it becomes more than 12 peep's I'll have to do Hot dogs because I wouldn't have the space in the pit for more quarters. Co-pilots are welcome or come alone. Just bring your teener. We have: Me/Wendy Cesar +1 Collingreene on standby ? Ravi/Michelle Ben/Ralph Olsib914 |

I don't know if you want to keep the run to a minimum or not but I've got a friend with a 914 v8 that may want go, and another with a 67 Volvo ( is it strictly 914s?) that would be up for a drive. |

Got it. You and your girlfriend. Just so I don't embarrass myself at the BBQ, is she Ben or Ralph? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) . And yes it is a 914World member only event. I will make an exception for most topless dancers, however. Insert a Groucho avater here. One of DP's OG's brought his 911 once and we had to push start him in Borrego Springs. It was that or leave him and that pregnant roller skate out there. So the collective founders of Dawn Patrol decided that that particular incident had indeed been an act of God and that we being fine men of upstanding honor should abide by His decision. After all, who were we to question the Old Man himself? It was therefor decided that this had been a Holy event and it was thereby decreed a 914 event only, for all time to come.
I should probably tell you the rest of our rules, too. Wait a minute, there are none come to think about it. With the exception of this BBQ, we get up early and finish our drives early. We're usually home by 10ish. There is a small amount of spirited driving (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) some breakfast along the way then back down the mountain. Looking forward to meeting ya'll and doing some future run's. |

Kent,
It seems I have an issue with the 914. So you need to move the date for the run out at least 4 weeks, otherwise I can't make it! I went out to look at the car yesterday and it was dirty! Sorry, Phatnine11 PS: Are you sure I can't bring anything to the BBQ? And this post is to give the thread a bump! |
