One of the things on my 'list' is to glass-bead the calipers and rebuild the fronts, and rears. (I've got a full extra set I can play with.) The car will be Saturn Yellow again, but I'm not thinking Yellow calipers are all that nice looking. I'm thinking about Red to look like the 'Big Red' ones they have for the Boxter and 996.

Does anyone have a pic of their car with Red calipers?

Here ya go. I just cleaned, wire brushed and used high gloss enamel. Not show quality, this is a fun and track car.

Wow...That's beautiful. But on a yellow car, do you think it'd be a little overkill?

And here is the best picture I could find of my yellow car and you can see the calipers were both yellow.

Wow...You answered a future question with that pic. I was thinking of painting all my 'chrome parts' black. Most important, the door hinges. That's the look I want to go for.

Thanks...That looks great.

Mike, I am shocked by your post. The term ‘rice’ is politically incorrect, and could cause this thread to be deleted by admin. Anything implying national origin, religious or political leanings is expressly forbidden on this board.

Further, you insulted three sensitive members who painted their stock calipers, and believe a formal apology is in order. I like painted calipers, and to all those who agree, I will be marketing the attached sticky to really dress up the calipers. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

PS This is all a joke!
PPS Thanks for supoorting WCC 2005!

How can I make this so political that the thought polezi step in?

Yellow is out...to offensive to WWII vetrans

Red is out.....I lived thru the cold war

Black is definitely out.

White is definitely out and banned.

Blue is out...to depressing

Green is out...would make everyone envious

I think silver might be safe, but you may offend the native americans.

Fushia should be safe, unless you go through Corona.

Howard, I agree with your reaction to Mike's outrageous post. His castigation was indeed deserved! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

I am concerned with perhaps a greater issue concerning the painting of calipers. That is the prejudice shown toward colors other than yellow and red. Why is it that only these colors are given the opportunity to grace calipers. Are we so narrow minded that we truly believe only red and yellow are good enough? This is a huge reach for me, but on a serious note...

WTF is going on here? Are we so sensitive that it has come to this? To all of you who make the jokes, thanks! You make my day. To everyone who gets the jokes, nice to see you.

To the rest of you girly boys, get over it (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/finger.gif)
