I have two files, one is 21 meg and the other is 12 meg. They are of the Chalon driving out the driveway and down the street, it sounds pretty impressive, and the smaller file is of the car coming down the street and slowing for the stop sign and turning around and coming back home. I think the car sounds great but I am now going to pull the rear trailing arm and rip out the Weltmiester eurethane bushings as they squeak like hell. I only did the driver side and I am glad I did. These things suck! For now, I want to drive it though. Time for an alignment and some cruise time. So if anyone can host a couple of MPG files, let me know how to get them to you and we can post them up.

Files are being uploaded now and should be done in about 45 minutes. We will see. Thanks BD1308. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beer.gif)

How do we know the car is actually running and not just rolling down hill? Maybe the noise is a recording? Maybe it's a clever computer trick? Who knows? How does Skline make a living? WITH COMPUTERS!! I rest my case.

What are you going to replace the bushings with? And how long until you make a burnout/CV grenading video? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/burnout.gif)

That is a good question, I didnt really accelerate hard on it yet and it seems to get right along. I am more worried about the transmission, the CV's are an easy replacement. The trans however, is a little more work and I only have one spare. One of these days, I will find me a 930 gearbox I can afford and get that put in. Then I wont really have to worry about it. As for the bushings, the sooner the better. I could hear it creaking in the video when I turned around at the corner and if i could hear it over the sound of the car, that is just embarassing. It SUCKS! The video has been uploaded to the FTP but I think he went to bed as he has school in the morning, Hopefully he will post the links before he goes to school tomorrow. Other wise, I will be later. Sorry, its the best I could do.

Credible witnesses? Where? OK, I have seen the Chalon and I've heard the Calon and I've seen Skline and I've heard Skline talk about the Chalon, but I haven't actually seen the Chalon run. Hell I even worked on the Chalon!! But I haven't actally seen the Chalon run. Does the Chalon run?? Run Chalon run. (Can you tell I'm bored tonight?)
cheers, Elliot

You tell em Matt, Elliot knows he has an open invitation to come by anytime. In fact, he has just popped in on us in the past. Elliot, I will be home tomorrow afternoon and screwing around with the car, if you want to come by, maybe I can take it out again for a little spin. I have to get some fuses for the lights and stuff so i can be legal on the road. I also should really install the license plate on the back too. Much to do yet, but its getting so close.

I am good at the computer, but it takes some time when you are editing video to make a yellow S-10 pickup look like a primer grey Chalon, and making the sound come out just right. I am good, but not that good.
