I picked up a bunch of parts and am trying to sort them out. I'm doing pretty good except for the throttle bodies.

I need to find out what these go to.

022 133 067 42mm 5 pins
022 133 067A 45mm 3 pins
039 133 067 45mm 4 pins

I've search the net for two hours.

I believe the first is 1.7; the second is 1.8; I know the third is 2.0. The 039 part number means 2.0. To me, three pins means 1.8 TB.

Not to dispute the wisdom of DD, buuuuutttt, The first pic looks to be from a 75 or 76 because of the extra return spring. I beleive that is a 2.0L from those years. Just went and checked mine. 022 133 067--75 2.0L

Curt, How many pin connectors are on your 022 133 067 ???? Is there an A after the numbers. Thanks for the info. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif)

Hey, Curt--all of the 2.0s except for the early 73s have the extra return spring.

If there's only one vacuum fitting on it (the one we see in the pic), it's a 74+ throttle body. If there are two, it could be mid-73 through 76; not all of the 74+ cars were missing the vacuum advance fitting.

Any time you see a part with a VW part number starting "039", it's for a 2.0 liter. Almost always it's for an engine or engine-related part.

PET 6 shows the numbers, except they all end in 62 not 67

Bosch CD doesn't recognize any of the numbers

VW/AUDI EKT...numbers aren't even close

What about numbers from the TPS itself...the black thingy?

Definitely. It even has the correct flange on the bottom to bolt down onto the top of the plenum; the other two have a different shape that bolts up to the side of the plenum.

I don't think that's going to happen, sadly. (See my "Guess What" post for the reason...) I hope you enjoyed the Newkie! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

dave was talking about the order in which they were listed in the first post, you're talking about the order of the pictures he posted.
simple mis-communication here ...

dave's right (if you look at the order in which they were listed in the first post)
