I'm celebrating my b-day. I have one last 914 build ahead of me and want to find a decent 3/70 build date - the same month / year of my birth.
Its proving not as easy as you'd think. From what I can tell the range is from about 4702904200 - 4702906000 but there's some inconsistencies in there.... Really just looking for a tub..... Any ideas.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) |

If you want to be sure, find 4702905100. |

West coast issues. We just try to find cars that don't fold in half.

Looks like a pretty original car. Front bumper being replaced raises an eyebrow. And the Porsche identity crisis (badging) is dumb. I have an original muffler for it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I'd like to find a 10/76 but that's impossible! I'd have to look at 924s, 928s, and 911s I guess, but I don't want any of those.

Happy birthday! Sounds like an interesting project. You've got me thinking though if I was to do this and use a Porsche I'd have to go to 1946 and I think it would not only be very hard to find but way beyond my ability to pay for. Good luck on your new build. Interestingly my last build will not be too far off.... |

This is not unusual.
I have a March build 1963 MGB in the queue for restoration....built within two days of my birthdate! I am always looking for any interesting car built on the exact day of my birth. A good friend of mine from HS only collects cars from 1963...he has a pretty nice collection including an XKE, 356, Impala SS 409 and others. |

I'm 6/70 and my six is too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)
so, maybe you should extend your search to about 914.043.0750 - 914.043.1100 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

there is nothing like an exact range
it's just a good guess, based on data info of known cars 11/70 might be somewhere between 914.143.0070 - 914.143.0140 |
