Not really 914 content, but I trust people here with good recommendations. Looking for a good automotive stereo shop here in Phoenix to discuss upgrades for my 2003 Boxster, which has the CDR23 head unit (MOST) and Bose speakers. From what I've read it's a total rip-out to upgrade, need to talk with someone who knows the options. TIA.

Stopgap measure: bought this unit from Amazon

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B018E0I01I/

I tried a different one first and had to return it, static and poor sound quality. This unit is excellent, yeah, it's FM quality sound (40 Hz to 15 KHz), but clear sound and no static. This does 99% of what I need for only $22. Instead of upgrading the stereo, I think what I'll eventually do is upgrade the car to a 2014 or later Boxster with a better stereo (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .
