Found this on COPART today. Not much left but the rear bumper looks like it could be from a /6

Hahaha... you got us all. I know this is just the start of a new thread by fordb132. He'll have this ready to go for a New Years Day concours.

This one is so bad you couldn't even jack up the VIN plates and put a new car under them. You would have to forge some VIN plates first.

Anybody know the story behind this?

Also, if you look through COPART Porsche listings there were two 356s and some 912s to go with the usual 2017 models that were crashed/burned/stolen/flooded/etc.. Pretty sad.

Looks like a structure fire.

Wasn't there a warehouse storing cars that went up recently?

Looks like a -4, I don't see the ignition switch on the left side of the column.

OK TC here is my take.
Rear fog light bracket.....unusual on any car, most likely on a six
14" Fuchs....who would choose them on a conversion ?....original on a real 6
Solid aluminum steering wheel adapter for an Momo just like on my car. Not suitable
for a 4cyl. Can't see any evidence on the right of the column of an ignition lock.
In the pic from the drivers side into the interior the steering column appears to have
tabs that mount the plastic clamshells of a 6
The rear valence/exhaust does look like a 4 cyl.
The view into the left rear wheel well is fuzzy , is that an oil hose in there ?
What else ?
Front marker lamps filled with metal discs.....not welded....just strange

A garage fire in Michigan. Consumed this real quick 914-6, a 911, and a 356 too. Tragic.

what would you get off it ?.....trans,engine short block ( maybe),exhaust heatexchangers ,wheels (?) brake calipers (?),remember local car (911) caught fire when the owner was driving ,engine(short block) and box were ok ,maybe this has been subjected to more heat than a straight out engine fire...such a shame (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) .

It starts with a 9? I suspect the 3rd digit was a 4 that looked like a 1 after the fire.
