Yep, too long.... you'll see Vs and flats but no inlines. Why, do you have a spare RB25 sitting around?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)

Seriously. Have you ever looked at the diesels. My dodge motor in my tow vehicle is supposed to weigh 1400lbs dressed.
My 914 race car has a 6 cylinder motor and less hp... but handles due to its weight... 1826lbs wet |

Hell the car has chrome bumpers front and rear. That is worth $800
It says 300 miles on Eng. and trans. You are not that far go take a look. Maybe drive it home. The intake manifold looks old not 300 miles Its got some good stuff and you may be able to clean it up and have a nice V8 for low dollars if it is not all rusty. And they eat transmissions.. I’ve had 2 and the only part of the Truck that didn’t self destruct Was the engines, because a Dodge didn’t build them. On the 2 valve engines, redline is around 2800 rpm. The later 4 valve ones did 3200 I think.. |

Yep, too long.... you'll see Vs and flats but no inlines. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Measure the engine; measure the engine bay. Unless you want to remove the firewall, it's not really gonna fit. --DD |

Straight six engines belong in trucks and boats (or old Jags and Datsuns)

That looks a lot like a V8, not an I6...

My Audi inline 4 would physically fit, but running the audi transmission moved the CV joints to far forward, therefore I had to move back the firewall 6 inches (really only a couple, but I like room)
An audi Inline 5 would fit no problem in my current engine bay, but not a stock engine bay. but a 6 would just be too darn long. I know Mueller measured a VR6 and said it would work. Its supposed to be as long as the inline 4. |

I'm sure it could be made to fit, you could use the valve covers for arm rests. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

And what if you used Traverse engine layout ala nsx Vs longitude layout You might as well buy a Fiero, MR2, Fiat X/9 or said NSX that are made that way since there will be major reconstruction to adapt the transmission and cutting of the trunk firewall. It's been done before, one guy even used a Ford Escort drivetrain. No real reason to go thru that much trouble except for bragging(?) rights to say you did it. |

My Nissan v6 with the Nissan FWD trans won't fit between the inner susp mounts. Neither would the targa top because the front of the trunk would need to be cut out.

I dunno, but the smoothest car I drive is the TR6, with an inline 6. Feels like luxury after the 914/4. The H6 from Porsche is pretty smooth though too. Of course my modern Ford has no audible sign of an engine at all - watch it with the dog, ma'am.
