Should I use a little heat at the case halves to remove the cylinder hold down bolts? The case halves are not being reused. double nutting the bolts for removal. Removal all other studs will be done the same way. Thanks Jon

We use MAP gas. 2-3 minutes on the aluminum around the stud. Doesn’t hurt the case.

I've removed hundreds of studs on 911 engines and rarely break a stud and it's just less physical effort. |

The oil strainer pick up bolt is not part of the case itself.
