Has anyone electrified their 914 windows with one of the commonly available kits? How did it go?

Where/how did you wire the motors and the switches? In particular, getting power to the motors as well as the drivers switch for the passenger window?

Mine was setup when I bought it. They put some switches in the center console near the gauges.

I picked up an extra vent and modified it with the Dremel tool. The wires run under the cowling to each door. Really easy way to connect the switches. I have a wiring diagram, I’ll see if I can find it. Attached thumbnail(s) |

This is a must-have; it allows you to touch the up or down button once instead of holding your finger on the switch. Mine have been working for 10+ years. Also, a second touch will stop the window Mine are mounted behind the door panel in a recessed area Attached image(s)

At one time there was a specific kit for 914s, IIRC, it was sold under the Autoloc name.
