It looks like a 74-75 1.8L L-jet system. Not 1970 1.7L.

The engine number says it’s a 1.7. The air box may not be original to this engine.

It looks like a 74-75 1.8L L-jet system. Not 1970 1.7L. -Carl (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) That is a 1.8 FI system. The ECU is L-Jet (1.8) |

75-76 7-pin 1.8L L-Jet engine due to the EGR valve. Coil mount location etc. Intake plenum on 1.7/2.0 different. Coil is also mounted backwards. The coil sits on the engine case and the bracket attaches to the threaded hole on the case pictured lower left as you have the engine facing.
