ok, I replaced my coil before putting the engine back in... last night I was wiring up everything...

my old coil was clearly marked "+" and "-", the new blue coil is not... that I can see from the engine bay anyway.

I have the wiring diagram, and can see the green wire(from condensor) goes to one side and the 2 other wires go to the other side... but which coil side is for which wires?

I *think* I have it right, but want to double check before I start it up...

ok, is there an easy way to determine which side of the coil is which? if it's not labeled?

haynes shows 3 wires... the green on to the dizzy one one side, the other 2 on the other side...

Pull it out, it's probably labeled somewhere.

the other one (Terminal 1?) is minus...

i'm not getting sucked into the color thing, 'cause i can't see your car :-)

points and tach (which i thought should be black with violet tracer) connect to Terminal 1;
switched +12V connects to Terminal 15.

that's if you're using stock points.

if you're using some other kind of points replacement module or CD ignition, i'm not even gonna suggest...
