Ok. I've been seriously working on this car for the past 6 months or so. Before that I had no garage space of my own and it was in storage away from my house so I only did little things. In the last few months I have been steadily plugging away at metal work and now am rebuilding the engine. Its a 74 1.8L BTW. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

The start of metal work. I don't really have any completed pictures because I never seem to have a camera outside when I finish stuff, but here are alot of progress pictures.

The left door handle recess was all bondo and hence pulled out. I fabbed and welded in new pieces. It did come out better than in the pictures and it now totally finished.

door gaps are good too. if i find the before pictures i'll post them. the above picture is just at the beginning of the work. its my first metal repair so please be nice. lol.

Both door sills were gone. Here's one halfway through repair. They look very close to factory now with the edges on them. Pics of that later

Both bumper mounts look like this. The pictures for both sides are interchangable since I did the exact same thing. I cut out everything, made templates, welded it back in again, ground the welds and painted. Hopefully I have pictures of everything. If not, as before some will come later

Now for a little from the trunk and rear panel.

Trunk with paint... I stripped it off before welding on the bottom and repainting. No pictures stripped tho (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif)

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/blog-1142917580.jpg)

a little panel repair

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/blog-1142916231.jpg)

paint. . . tougher paint is going on the bottom half, thats why its masked off.
