Sears and now OSH (recently purchased by Sears) have finally lost my business for good. I'm really sick of retail shops that treat all customers like thieves, locking up half the tools so you have to fetch some drone to unlock them for you. They also never seem to have the tool I need anymore, nor do FLAPs or hardware stores. (Hint: I need a 12mm allen wrench now).
I'm not friendly with any local shops, and frankly can't afford Snap-On's prices, so what's a good on-line tool supplier? |

I *MIGHT* have a 12mm allen socket in my car - I can swing by on the way home if you like... if you want to borrow it....

Hi
You know in a pinch, you can go to the Napa store and order it. Ive gotten some pretty odd ball tools usually within hours (IMG:style_emoticons/default/boldblue.gif) Napas' "professional" series is some pretty good stuff, and goes on speacial a lot. I find myself ordering more and more, just because its so easy. I have the ...purk...of working in a garage, but anybody can walk in and order. Hope things work out (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif) Later (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

What is OSH?
I have used www.thetoolwarehouse.net http://shoptoolsshoptools.com/shopdisplayp...amp;cat=Porsche http://www.use-enco.com McMaster Carr does have most everything, but you may find better prices elsewhere. There are many others including Harbor Freight and JC Whitney. Just Google it. Good luck to you. |

I've also had pretty good luck at Northern Hydraulics. If it's something that should last a long time, nothing beats Snap-On. If you have a local dealer, get to know him, I've gotten some really obscure stuff right off his truck. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Is there a Post Tool local to you? Several people I know used to recommend the one down in San Jose/Santa Clara, but then that was a while ago...
