Early to late the material and construction changed from a cast steel peice
to a bent steel bar with a section of threaded rod (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) When? Is there a reason other than manufacturing cost? this is posted here because the CW factor and becuase the likely response is "dump them and go turbo anyway" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chairfall.gif) This is for a 74 application |

I would tend to believe that the bent steel rod is stringer than the cast piece. IDK if this has anything to do with the change though.
