The circle clip that holds on the idler gear inside the cover plate fell off......fuching .75 part.....

Nothing internal is bad....gasket kit, new circlip and I'm gonna replace the 36mm nuts on the end of the shafts....some Swepco and back in it goes....the nuts are like 25 bucks each....

Yeah...with the engine and trans out...it's also easier to replace the hood gas struts that went dead.
