I have a non running car on which I am about to do a carb conversion.
Currently the Engine Realy Board is empty, except for the Alternator Regulator. Which Relays are required? (I presume Fuel Pump is one.) and are all relays identical? Thanks R |

they look like this one. for the fuel pump there is a spot for it on the engine relay board and a spot for one for the heated rear window. one each for the headlight motors and a few other circuits.

See this article for information on how to hook up the fuel pump: Fuel Pump Wiring for Carbs In the pictures of the relay board there are 2 unlabeled relays. The relay towards the top offset slightly to the left, is for the optional rear window defogger. The relay at the bottom is for the heater fan. Hope that gets you started. --- bill |

That tech article is a good read. I took it another step and have been using those relays for other functions as well (e.g. the cooling fan on my external oil cooler).
If you don't have them, find the schematics for the relay board and really dig into it. Then just tap into the existing wiring harness as necessary. Keeps your engine bay from looking like an ICU. good luck |
