I know this is way off topic, but I want to redo my office with some color. My father in law suggested signal orange... not too far off base I think, but I thought I'd get some other opinions. Only one or two walls will receive color, the others will remain off-white after the kilz primer dries. New carpet is going to be charcol grey loop too :-)
Secondly, do I take a door to home depot to have them match the color-- really, how do I get them to match a porsche color? Charles Navarro LN Engineering http://www.LNengineering.com Aircooled Precision Performance |

take the headlight eyebrow, it'll be easier. they have a custom scanner in the paint department and can match it easily.

Guards Red kinda seemed the logical choice. Now where can I find a color code or something with that color to use. Any ideas? I don't have anything... (not that I know about that is)

go to your local dealer and get a touchup pen and then take it to Home despot and have them match it.

Nearest Porsche Dealership = ~90mi away. I guess I need to go up there anyways to pick up the plated for my 914, could do it tomorrow morning then pick up the paint on the way back. Sounds like a plan to me.

Most store paint departments have colour match cards that you can take home and see if the paint matches what you want.

One office wall is now painted red. I went to the Porsche dealership and got some touch up paint. Long story short, Lowe's could not for the life of them match the Guards Red so I went with Tomato Red. I'll have to post a picture when I am all done. Thanks guys. I would have never thought of painting it red and I really like it.

If you need paint codes for almost any make car look HERE The color chips may be a bit off, but if you know the name of a color, yr, make model, etc, you can get the code and have some paint mixed
