I fired up my 74 2.0 today and drove it around. No sway bars, all stock, Olympic blue car with 88k original miles, still driving on the original motor and transmission. It still drives as nice as when my Dad bought it 18 years ago.

When I run out of gas in the tank I'm going to tear it down for restoration.

IT SURE IS NICE TO DRIVE THOUGH!!!!! No wonder these cars have a cult following.

Yeah, but it's only a few drops of gas away from being normal. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Both my 914s run which is a proud accomplishment, but I get lots of help. The blue 914 will be my first attempt at restoring a car, but its worth whatever it costs. I want the final product to be a reflection of what the car means to me. That car is my childhood and the best memories of my Dad.

The silver car is a stock 993 which I plan to ROW soon.

The pedals are out with Bruce, but I'm close to buying a T shirt!

Would anyone be up for an "engine raising"? I'm pretty close... was working on the fuel lines last night... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blowup.gif)
