OK, it's confession time. When I lived in CA in the '80's and up through the mid '90's, I drove on every narrow, winding road I could find with my 914. I've lived in AZ since '97 and despite having three sports cars (914, M3, and Boxster), I have virtually never been on a narrow winding road with ANY of them. Sure, I've driven on 17 about a million times to Flag, and once, I went from Payson to Flag in the M3 (and it was fun), but I need a driving fix.
I was planning on taking my Boxster around the loop defined by 177 and 77 this weekend - I've never been on either road. Is this a good route for a day trip from Phoenix? I'm looking for a drive that's about 4 hours or so from the south part of Phoenix (I'm in Ahwatukee). TIA... |
