Sitting here organizing pics of the car I've been working on for the last 4 months. Thought some of you might like it. Neat little car.
1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale 1 of about 1500 made. I have lost a couple of pics but you can kinda see what the engine compartment looked like when we got it. I have stripped the engine bay, ALL suspension, the WHOLE underside, patched some previous half ass repairs and repainted all of it. I am pretty much done with it so now it goes back up from for the engine to be re-built then we put a wiring harness in it, then I get it back one more time to put in the new carpet and interior. Owner is going to drive it over the summer and bring it back next fall to strip and re-paint. Originally it was white, then red, then this purple twice. It will be going back this purple. Not at all original but I think of the 3 I have seen this color fits the car the best Attached image(s) |

Scotty It looks like a GTV up against the wall. I love those little cars. Almost bought one many many years ago. NAH no POS GTV. THAT my friend is a GTA ! Basically the same as a GTV but with an aluminum body. 3rd one I will have done. First one was the first car I did when I went to this shop 3 years ago, second one was a "quicky" job. Owner didn't want it really nice because he is going to race it. Neat car with a neat history of factory deciet (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) 1000 cars needed for homologation. Alfa had the inspectors come to the factory to sign off on the cars so they could continue with the program. Inspectors checked out and signed off on the first 500 cars. Company officials took them out to lunch. While out at lunch the employess moved all 500 cars from building A to building B. Upon returning from lunch the inspectors were taken to "the OTHER 500 cars" in building B. They checked out and passed those 500 cars. Alfa continued on having only built 500 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) Attached image(s) |
