My poor 914 has taken a devastating toll from rust. I just recently found out that the swing arm is rusted through both the arm itself and where it connects to the frame. Where it connects to the frame is also cracked. Please help. What should i do?
Pics coming. |

The swing arm is easy to replace. Unbolt it and bolt in a new one, and get the car aligned.
The ear to the frame is harder. Buy a replacement unit (I think AA has them). Drill out the spot welds holding on yours and remove the bad unit. Weld in the replacement part. Not to bad, really. Zach |
