My poor 914 has taken a devastating toll from rust. I just recently found out that the swing arm is rusted through both the arm itself and where it connects to the frame. Where it connects to the frame is also cracked. Please help. What should i do?
Pics coming. |

Mmmm, tasty looking TC. Now that I actually know kinda how to do it, that looks like an interesting repair. I replaced my inner rear suspension console on my car. The hardest part is getting all the spot welds drilled out and getting the old one off. Read some of the classic restoration threads, especially "Digging into hell" on the classic threads forum. Maybe a board member lives nearby that can help you out. John |
