For inquiring minds that want to know. The 73 Service and Tech manual(p-40) says that the calipers are interchangeable side to side.

They certianly are but, there is one subtle difference; one of the bleeders is inset slightly. I like to use this one as the top bleeder.

Also, before ye go changing lefts and rights around you'll want to make sure the orientation of the pistons is correct. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
