I'v had my 75 914 for 26 years and still have the original POS Schucks headlights. There must be better headlights Available at a reasonable price.I'm sure the sales catologs have lights for sale , but thought I'd ask here what 914ers are using and are happy with. thanks for the input.

Here's a link to a good "ratwell" article on H4 headlights:
http://www.ratwell.com/technical/BoschH4.html While the article compares two Bosch H4 headlights (one for motorcycles, one for cars), it also includes some good info on e-code H4s in general--especially how e-code lights differ from standard DOT sealed beams. Dan Stern also has an excellent site at: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/home.html He has a great article on how to aim these things at : http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/aim/aim.html Dan is also great to deal with. As of last year he still had some of the Cibie H4s--I highly recommend them if you can still get them . . . . Hope this helps! |
