Stereo guy recommends running a big fat power wire to a "junction box" in the front trunk area, and then taking our power from that for the amp. You will then have a source of continous power for other applications if the need arises is his position, which I think makes sense unless there is something club members know about that I am unaware of. What is the best routing for a large power wire from the battery to the front trunk??

Follow the stock wiring harness through the center tunnel and up into the front trunk. Get black welding cable from a auto parts store or welding shop. It's very flexible, good conductivity, and it's usually black, so your power cable will look more 'age appropriate' for the car (i.e. not stand out).
