Interior Water Leaks(wet carpet specifically), Where might it be coming from? Options

So, I replaced the carpet in my car a month or 2 ago and we have had some steady rain since. Felt my carpet today as I was working in my car and felt that both the driver and pass sides are wet. Not the hump in between, not the seats, not the door panels... just the carpet in the foot wells. Where would you recommend I begin searching for leaks? I bought a superweave cover from Cal Car Covers today in hopes that it will cure 98% of the issue but this still bothers me... any help?

Might be window seals, but you should see the water coming down the glass. Also could be a plugged up drain in the fresh air unit, allowing the water to come through the heat vents.

If the water pools behind the passenger seat, check for holes in your lower firewall in the hell hole area.

In my early 914 days, I'd get water in from there, as it ran through the small engine grate over the battery and into the hell hole area, of course, then through the firewall and voila, wet interior.

Agreed. Except for the rear window; it leaks at the bottom and disappears behind the backpad only to reappear as soggy carpet. This leak also helps destroy the firewall and inner longs
