Thanks Sean but that's not the info I need. I'm trying to determine the construction of the long. It looks like it is a square tube welded together (seamed) along the bottom. Does it look like this in a cross section?

Thanks Sean but that's not the info I need. I'm trying to determine the construction of the long. It looks like it is a square tube welded together (seamed) along the bottom. Does it look like this in a cross section? If I remember correctly onn the outside of the long there are 2 pieces sandwhiched together. The inner piece stops short of the 90 degree bend that the outer piece makes to meet up under the long where it is spot welded. I'm looking for some pictures I took when I had to make repairs... But here's something along the lines of what I remember. I just found a picture from my repair. I was wrong about the inner piece not making the 90 degree bend, it does, but doesn't completely extend to 'seal' the box. In this photo you can see where I removed a large piece of the outer layer and a small piece of the inner layer. |
