I bought an Optima Yellow Top about a year ago. It was fairly cheap and still works well. I have been fine tuning my stereo system, wich has a totall of about 700 watts at peak performance. My headlights are still dimming on the higher volume. I have capacitorrs installed next to each amp, but the battery is just not big enough.
My yellow top is rated at 870 amps. The kinetik is rated at 1900 amps. My plan was to install the kinetik hc1800 to replace the yellow top, it is the same size and weighs 54lbs, a little bit heavier than the optima. (not much) Then I was going to replace both capacitors with an hc800 mounted next to the amps in the trunk. Does Mean-Green make an alternator for a T2/T4 Application?
I can't seem to find one. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif) The site does not list that they have one that would fit our application. As my alternator is dying I am looking to a slightly bigger replacement, any suggestions that I can buy? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) |
