OK, I haven't done one DE or AutoX and I know me,
I will hooked after the first time (heck I'm already hooed (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ) You thoughts, the 74 LE parts car came with red/orange painted mahle rims. My car is signal orange and I want to use these rims for autoX tires I don't want to mess up my Fuchs so...... I know who cares what color the rims are if you are racing, well I guess I do. Was thinking of painting them black, what do ya think? here is a pic of the rims and my ride. Mahles Attached thumbnail(s) ![]() |

If those are original paint 914 LE rims, you might want to hold onto them. They have some value as a preservation piece, I'm sure.
Otherwise, if you're determined to repaint them... http://www.highway914.net/tech/wheel_painting.htm I haven't had any problems with the wheels, but next time I'd do the job, I'd use some type of etching primer. Hope this helps, Rusty |
