I'm just curious...

I put new seals on my six when I restored it, it I'd say it leaks a little. Definitely not dry, but livable.

On my new [to me] 4, the seals *look* ok, but it leaks horribly. If I park outside, I can literally get puddles of water on the floor (both sides, in front and behind the seats).

I too needed rubber parts, put all except the upper & two lower targas, and the two inner door seals. I wonder what the new parts are...I think the cabin parts were all Porsche. Perfect fit, and worth the time. Prolly over 300$ easily for the less expensive seals.

My car is not anywhere near perfect margins etc. this is reflected in some near gaps here and there. definate drips off the "builtin" gutter in the top itself. If windows are cracked 1/2 inch better watch that gutter drip. default water source is pushed from the p/side rear wheel wash into the rear of the rusty floor pan.

it was quite a big surprise when I first got the car on the road. now, with basic problem areas found and work around in place.(stuffed rusty floor pan with easily manipulated ropecaulk/almost like the electrician's putty to water seal cables on service entrances.easily removed or "helped" with more putty until the real repair arrives (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif)
meanwhile this NJ car has a daily driver's life (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) it's great!
