Once again, we are taking the Sacramento Porsche Family Reunion on the road for May... This time, we are going to Original Customs in Sonoma, CA to be wrench wenches on the World famous (at least 914World) limo project. Bring your skills and an appetite for some BBQ. Even if you don't have skills you can learn and be a small rodent with great utility at these events called a 'gopher' LOL!!! So come one, come all! Let's get this limo going... What about putting a automatic in that bad boy. If there was anything around that was an easy fit, i'd be all over it ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) Andy |

B5 version. They use transaxles and have the speed sensor built into the trani. Essentially it would be plug and play. In fact an early 90's Audi 90 or similar FWD could be picked up for next to nothing. Not going to have tiptronic or a bunch of HP, but the 2.8L v6 would still have ~ 150hp (vs 190hp on the later models w/ tiptronic). Just a thought Andy. Essentially all you would have to do is run 2 cables for the shifter, build an engine/trani cradle, and either fab CV adapters/splice the CV's together/ or have custom shafts built (914 on one side, Audi other side). Then the rest is just power source and throttle cable. Essentially you could have could have cruise control, air conditioning, heat, and climate control fairly easy if you had a parts car.. |

Audi/Passat engine/trani. B5 version. Oh. I thought you meant a automatic transmission with a Porsche engine. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) Nothing personal, but i strongly believe the worlds first 914 Limo should be propelled by a Porsche engine ...
