What Avon were you running? Slicks? soft compound?
Hmm Wonder who it was that turned Grant on to those........ Oh, I know ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My next set of slicks was going to be 240/600 front and 275/540 rear. But I sold the car and have been kicking myself ever since. Think I need to go rip up the street in my kart tonight to make my self feel better. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) |

I worked with Roger K Racing and Avon on this setup exclusively. I ran a set of Avon DOT R tires several years ago and have been aware of Avon for decades. We looked across all tire manufacturers and settled on A15 compound 23.5x11x16 Crossply race slicks for my application. I also consulted with a couple Porsche hillclimb specialists in Europe who reccomended this tyre and compound as well. |
