Not that CD players work in our cars. I mean with the stout suspension and all the pot holes around here. La la la bang! Skip! La la la bang! Skip! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
I guess I'm mostly looking for a stereo that doesn't look like it belongs in a Grand Prix or a Malibu.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) Any suggestions? |

Both PP & maybe AA sell a "modern-retro-look"radio for classic Porsches, but I don't think there's a CD in there.
http://www.automotion.com/product.asp?pf_i...mp;dept_id=4049 Try Woody's also: http://www.bench-racing.com/html/about_us.html In addition to the bumpity-bump problem with audio in our 914's, there's also that lovely LOUD engine behind your head to drown out the audio. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) My buddy with the 1 owner (him) 71 that I posted, installed a CD changer in his glovebox, new speakers in the stock housings & ran them thru the OE 70's radio. I'm putting the original AM-FM-8-track back in mine & play/strip the old 8-tracks which I still have! ... clickity-clack!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) You could always look for a real vintage one on Samba & evil-bay!? Thanx for your input on my body shop questions, sounds like I need to learn to weld to do some of rustoration on it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) |
