Memorial Day Weekend Plans, 914 going under the knife Options

Well,
The wife is working all 3 days this weekend, so all my little 914 projects are going to get done. here's what's on the docket:

• install jwest fuse panel
• install jwest fog light module
• install rennshift
• new shift bushings all around
• new clutch cable
• new accel cable
• replacing all the vaccuum hoses
• setting timing

A bit ambitious perhaps, but most of these are "while i'm in there" type things. Besides, I figure replacing the clutch and accel cables is best to do in the comfort of my garage....since the next time i have to do it might be on the side of the road!

P.S. any boston area teeners are welcome to come by and wrench with me!

Unfortunately mine only has "call" on Monday - so it's "her" New Gazebo & furniture, BBQ cook, clearance & install new Westy Alloy Wheels' center caps, Kleen Wheels Westy & BMW & wash both, repair BMW seat/back cover/etc., my Office shelves, new back door fitted & hung, etc. ..... then maybe some 914 time! Make sure to check your clutch cable tube is securely welded at the firewall, mid-rear tunnel & forward of shifter while you're doing those cables Rich. It's a common 914 problem for them to break loose & slop around while you're trying to clutch! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Tom, I've got the honeydo list too, believe me. Mow the lawn, fix the guest room toilet, paint the attic stairs...it's all about multitasking!!

While installing the rennshift, i discovered mine has broken free forward of the shfter (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I patched it up with some JBWeld until I can get it to Racer Chris' place for a proper repair job (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

None of these yet! I'm trying to get this 914 as sorted as possible for when they do arrive...so I can maximize the time I spend (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
