My 914-4 2.0 carb'd has been running kinda like poo for the last month or so. So my earlier post in this thread was to eliminate most simple things. I did get done:
Valve adjust, proper 6 intake, 8 exhaust No new points, but set to perfect dwell of 47-48 New plugs and wires (Beru's and Bosch plugs) Fired it back up, still runs about the same, better, but not like it did when I bought it. Start turning the little idle air screws (40IDF's), #4 and #1 don't respond. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) I tried to kinda blow them out, but no diff. Gotta order up some tune-up kits for both sides now. It's really jerky, sometimes will run perfect, others will really sputter, pop, fart. Just sitting idling, pop! Pop! and "tweep" out the intakes. Converting back to FI is looking more tempting. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) |
