Bought by an aquaintance, the car was misrepresented as something it is apparently not. Im familiar with 911's... 914's are still new to me

VIN 9140430116

I know a little about the 914/6 VIN's since I have been researching them. That is a pretty early 914/6, certainly one of the earliest to come to the US. It cannot be a 916, it is the wrong serial # for one. What does it look like? A picture would really help here. The 916 had a welded steel roof such as a 911 coupe, and was not a Targa like a 914. Either a 914/6 GT or a 916 would have welded steel fender flairs. But a GT, technically, would have other modifications. The car could be a 916 or GT "look" if it had flairs and 916 style bumpers. But looks do not a car make. Do you have the original description? We can help if you think the car was misrepresented. Contact me with more details, and I'll do what I can.
