A google search for "Cumberland MD Bed and Breakfast" turned up several alternatives to camping for the non-campers.
Western Maryland Scenic Railroad Take a 3-hour round trip from Cumberland to Frostburg on a Baldwin 1916 steam locomotive. Call for schedule. 301-759-4400,800-872-4650 http://www.wmsr.com/ Hike or Bike the C&O Canal Tow Path. All the way to DC if you wanted to go for a 90 some mile hike... By the way, if you enjoy hiking or biking, the tow path makes an excellent day trip. For the most part it is hard packed dirt, and fairly well maintained. Something I have always enjoyed. There are also several national and state parks around Cumberland. in short, if you are worried you won't find somehting to do on a Sunday, don't be worried. There is more then you can do in a weekend. Zach |
