Its a pretty fucked up society when only HALF the registered voters are voting. And I dont think thats because americans are "lazy and stupid" like the media and europe portray. I think its because we havent got a good philosipher in the office since tom jefferson and a good person since the original gw. Seriously, jefferson has been the only president EVER that has fought to decrease the size of our government, and that was a long time ago. He predicted all this was going to happen, all this federal money would be wasted for things people dont care about and that the feds would be so detached from the people. Its really a joke. If you want to change stuff, just scream at a wall (minor threat reference (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) ). No republican or democrat will do anything with this country that it needs. What ever happened to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness? All the values this country stood for are now outdated. We've made some moral blunders (slavery, smog laws, etc.), but lets move on and keep some good 'ol values that will seperate us from a tax happy rest of the world.

But until then, Im going to drive my pre 73 auto, go to school and work, pay taxes, and not vote because until we rid of both parties and get a real gonvernment all we're gonna do is waste more time and money. I cant remember exactly what kurt cobain said, but it was to the effect that we should shoot the puppet on the left, shoot the puppet on the right, and get our own thoughts.

Sorry for the rant, I just get so frusturated with politics. Im in college and people always want to talk politics like trying to point the finger to some jackass in a suit and if that person were out of office, the world would be a better place.
