What is involved in getting rid of the large 75 bumpers in favor of the smaller chrome bumpers from any of the earlier years?
I have these bumpers on my '75: (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-2744-1222496554.jpg) I'd like to convert the bumpers to any of the earlier styles. This one is nice: (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/farm3.static.flickr.com-11834-1280646383.1.jpg) |

You might want to look here too for polished stainless steel which should never rust -
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...=108722&st= - with or without the "Tits" (bumper guards), although most folks backdating go to the "tit-less" variety. If that's your Viper (?) Green 914 in the pic & it's otherwise in VG-Excl condition & mostly original, then you need to be aware that backdating the bumpers & other "customization" can negatively affect the car's value in the long run - especially for hard to reverse ones. If you still decide to do so, then save all of the original parts for a future "go back" by you or ruture owner. .... and ..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png) |
